RMSAS has been selected as one of eight medical practices in the United States to be a part of an exciting clinical trial involving facet joint replacement.

The Anatomic Facet Replacement System (AFRS™) was designed as an alternative for patients considering fusion, the current standard of care for treating Lumbar Spinal Stenosis.  With the AFRS™, surgeons still perform the standard decompression, however, the only difference is that the device that is put in place may preserve natural motion, balance, and stability in the lower back.
